'During the birth I knelt on the bed, did lots of deep breathing and polar bear position. The midwifes were very impressed by me and said I just breathed the baby out - very calmly and in control. They wished they had more deliveries like mine (!) I definitely used the yoga breathing I had learned and actually just trying to make myself hear your calm voice in my head telling me to breathe slowly and all the way out was very helpful. I'm not going to have any more children, but if I was I would use mama-yoga again. I feel it really helped me prepare both mentally and physically for the birth of my baby'

'I kept listening for your voice in my head telling me to do the slow breaths… the best advice… would be what you tell us each week - remember to relax and soften your face as you breathe through the contractions. And also, make sure if you're having music to have some upbeat tunes on aswell as any relaxing stuff. Like you said - you wouldn't run a marathon listening to panpipes - you need something to keep you going!'
